Dr Miranda Cook


Miranda practiced as a GP for 12 years in the United Kingdom and 2 years in New Zealand.  She was the lead GP in diabetes and mental health and she helped to train new doctors, medical students and is a supervisor of registrars.  She enjoys all aspects of general practice with a particular interest in diabetes, mental health, substance abuse and disabilities. She is an HIV prescriber.

Outside of medicine, Miranda enjoys music, running, yoga and eating out.


Dr Kristy Bayliss


Kristy enjoys all facets of general practice and providing high quality medicine.  She has a particular interest in children’s and women’s health and takes a preventative approach to healthcare wherever possible.


Dr Bo Wong


Bo has been practicing medicine since 1997 with substantial knowledge and experience in general practice, acute and chronic healthcare.  He has specific expertise in the areas of family planning and anaesthesia.

Bo is also qualified in medical acupuncture.


Dr Filipe Soares Rocha


Filipe loves the adrenaline of Emergency Medicine, but is also deeply passionate about continuing care and Medicine in all of its facets. When it came to choosing a specialty, he liked so many fields he could not pick a specific one, so he decided to become specialised in General Practice, better said, Family Medicine.

Therefore, Filipe considers the patient first of all as a person, beyond a presentation of symptoms. He loves a good jigsaw puzzle in diagnosing health problems to assist patients to take responsibility for the health path they choose.

Inside and outside of Medicine, Filipe loves a good laugh (what a good remedy!), is a reiki master and enjoys too many things in life to count.


Dr Anousha Victoire


Anousha Victoire has an interest in all areas of general practice but particularly sexual health and contraception, skin diseases/ skin cancer, internal medicine, perinatal health, lactation and paediatrics.

In addition to her work in general practice she works for Newcastle Sexual Assault Service, and is actively involved in research in general practice dermatology and social determinants of health. In her spare time she enjoys music, dance and spending time with her family.

Dr Shayam Gurudoss

Dr Shyam Gurudoss is a fully qualified doctor who has specialised in general practice. He has a particular interest in internal medicine, addiction medicine and skin conditions.

Outside of work Dr Shyam is interested in food, fitness & inner peace.

Dr Bart Scanlon

Dr Bart enjoys seeing people of all ages & conditions at Mayfield Medical Connection. He has a particular interest in mens’ health, indigenous health, kids, the elderly, chronic disease & skin conditions.

Outside of work our Newcastle born & bred doctor loves the Newcastle Knights, his french bulldogs & the beach. On the weekend you might bump into him taking his mum out for breakkie.

Dr Hannah Gray

Dr Hannah is keen to see people of all ages & conditions. She does have a special interest in orthopedics, sports injuries & performance, trauma and fractures. She loves doing minor procedures and skin checks.

Outside of work Dr Hannah is learning to surf, she paints and you might see her at live music gigs.

Dr Lori Benton

Dr Lori is interested is seeing a broad range of people of all ages, all conditions and all complaints.

Outside of work her son is the light of her life! You’ll see them outdoors, playing in parks or enjoying a coffee.


Visiting GP – Dr Stuart Glastonbury

MBBS, FRACGP, BSc(Med), DipChildHealth, DipHerbMed

Stuart loves working with children and is interested in environmental contributors to health concerns as well as in general preventative health care and chronic disease management.  Stuart as well as practicing as an orthodox medical doctor he is also a herbalist.  He is able to provide conventional medical diagnostic and treatment services along-side complementary strategies.

Outside of medicine Stuart enjoys gardening, skating, snow skiing and listening to his vinyl record collection.
